EOTECH CNVD-LR Gen III White Phosphor Long-Range Clip-On Night Vision Device – Taupe

The EOTECH CNVD-LR (EOT-CLPO-AI3-T-LR) is a rugged, long-range clip-on night vision device developed for precision rifles, higher-caliber platforms, designated marksman systems, and professional users who require enhanced nighttime detection, identification, and observation capability.

Mounted directly in front of a compatible daytime optic, the CNVD-LR adds Gen III white phosphor night vision without requiring removal or re-zeroing of the primary sight. This configuration allows the operator to retain the day optic’s familiar reticle, eye relief, shooting position, and established ballistic zero.

This model features a premium Gen III white phosphor image intensifier tube with a minimum 2376 Figure of Merit, automatic gating, manual gain adjustment, unity magnification, and a quick-disconnect Picatinny rail mount. The system is finished in Taupe and includes a complete field-use kit.

Long-Range Clip-On Night Vision

The CNVD-LR is designed for long-range observation and precision applications where a conventional medium-range clip-on may not provide sufficient identification capability. Its narrow 8-degree field of view and 110mm focal-length optical system are optimized to provide enhanced detail at extended distances.

The device offers a stated detection range of approximately 850 meters, depending on ambient illumination, atmospheric conditions, target size, terrain, image-intensifier performance, and the daytime optic being used.

Gen III White Phosphor Image Intensifier

The EOT-CLPO-AI3-T-LR incorporates a U.S.-manufactured Gen III white phosphor image-intensifier tube with a minimum rating of 2376 FOM. White phosphor technology displays the intensified image in grayscale tones, providing excellent contrast and helping the operator distinguish terrain, structures, personnel, and other environmental details in low-light conditions.

Automatic gating helps the image-intensifier system respond to changing light levels while supporting image quality and tube protection in environments containing intermittent or mixed illumination.

Retains the Day Optic’s Ballistic Zero

The CNVD-LR mounts in line ahead of the rifle’s primary daytime optic. This configuration allows the operator to retain the existing reticle, eye relief, shooting position, ballistic data, and weapon zero while adding nighttime capability.

Because the primary optic remains installed, the operator can transition between daytime and nighttime configurations without changing the established sighting system or learning a separate night-vision reticle.

Designed for Precision Optics

The CNVD-LR is intended for use with compatible magnified day optics and precision-rifle systems. Its optical design provides true 1x unity magnification, allowing the attached daytime optic to determine the final viewing magnification.

Proper optical alignment, mount height, rail space, objective-lens clearance, and day-optic compatibility should be confirmed before installation.

Manual Gain and Focus Adjustment

Manual gain control allows the operator to adjust image brightness based on ambient illumination and personal preference. This provides greater control of the sight picture when operating under changing nighttime conditions.

The adjustable objective focus extends from approximately 40 meters to infinity, supporting long-range observation and target identification. Controls are positioned for field use while the device remains mounted.

Quick-Disconnect Picatinny Mount

The CNVD-LR includes a single-throw, quick-disconnect mount for compatible MIL-STD-1913 and STANAG 2324 Picatinny rails. The mount allows the device to be installed or removed without permanently altering the primary optic configuration.

Always verify that the mount is securely locked and that the CNVD-LR is properly aligned with the daytime optic before operational use.

Weapon-Mounted or Handheld Operation

In addition to its weapon-mounted configuration, the CNVD-LR may be used as a handheld observation device. This provides additional flexibility for surveillance, reconnaissance, perimeter observation, target assessment, and other nighttime operations.

CR123 Battery Operation

The CNVD-LR operates from one CR123 lithium battery and provides an average runtime of at least 16 hours at 77°F. Battery life may vary based on temperature, battery condition, gain setting, storage history, and operating environment.

The unit incorporates a low-battery indicator and reverse-polarity protection to support dependable field operation. An AA battery adapter is also included with the kit.

Rugged Professional Construction

Built for demanding military, law enforcement, and professional applications, the CNVD-LR is designed to withstand the shock, recoil, vibration, temperature changes, and environmental exposure associated with field deployment.

Its long-range design is particularly well suited for precision-rifle and higher-caliber platforms where extended identification capability and retention of the existing day optic are critical.

Mounting and Compatibility Notice

The CNVD-LR requires sufficient forward Picatinny rail space to mount directly in front of the daytime optic. Compatibility depends on the rifle platform, rail height, optic height, objective-lens diameter, mounting hardware, available clearance, and optical alignment.

Before use, verify that the CNVD-LR and daytime optic are properly aligned and securely mounted according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Confirm zero and system performance before operational deployment. The rifle, daytime optic, infrared accessories, and other equipment shown in product images are not included unless specifically listed.

Image-Intensifier Notice

Image-intensifier tubes are individually manufactured components. Cosmetic characteristics, including minor spots or variations permitted under the applicable tube specification, may differ between individual units and do not necessarily indicate a defect. Actual performance depends on ambient light, atmospheric conditions, target contrast, temperature, battery condition, and the attached daytime optic.
