The United Shield Mich LE with BOA Harness Helmet is a modern ballistic helmet designed for tactical operations, replacing the older PASGT helmet with improved comfort and compatibility. It features a low-profile design with a higher cut at the back and sides and no front peak, allowing excellent compatibility with communications equipment, gas masks, and helmet-mounted night vision goggles.
Design and Construction
- Constructed from para-aramid material for lightweight yet robust protection.
- Provides ballistic and fragmentation protection against low energy threats.
- Equipped with a four-point retention harness attached with ballistic-resistant bolts.
- Harness is removable for cleaning or replacement and includes the USI BOA® retention harness option for enhanced fit and adjustability.
Ballistic and Fragmentation Protection
- Meets NIJ 0106.01 IIIA ballistic protection standards.
- Exceeds US Military V50 multi-fragmentation standards with protection against fragments traveling at 670 m/sec (2200 fps) per STANAG 2920 and US MIL STD 662F.
Fit and Comfort
- Available in Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large sizes.
- Harness promotes great size adjustability, airflow, and heat management.
