The United Shield Mich Mil Helmet is designed as a lightweight, robust ballistic helmet that replaces the older PASGT helmet, integrating a modern low-profile design ideal for military and tactical applications. It features a high cut at the back and sides, removal of the front peak, and is optimized for excellent compatibility with communications gear, gas masks, and helmet-mounted night vision goggles.
Helmet Features and Construction
- Constructed from para-aramid material for superior ballistic and fragmentation protection while maintaining light weight.
- Equipped with a four-point harness anchored using ballistic resistant bolts for stability and security.
- The harness is easily removable for cleaning or replacement.
- The helmet uses the 4d 7-pad system which enhances comfort and stability for the user.
Protection and Compliance
- Ballistic protection meets NIJ 0106.01 IIIA standards.
- Fragmentation protection meets and exceeds US Military V50 multi-fragmentation requirement, with a V50 of 670 m/sec (2200 fps) tested in accordance with STANAG 2920 (17gr FSP) and US MIL STD 662F.
