The United Shield Rapid Response Shield (RRS) is a versatile ballistic shield designed for tactical use by law enforcement and security personnel. It features an ambidextrous design that accommodates both left and right-handed operators, making it adaptable for various tactical scenarios including dynamic entry, hostage rescue, domestic situations, and routine patrols.

Ballistic Performance
The RRS shield comes in multiple ballistic protection levels, including Level IIIA and Lightweight (LW) IIIA. It provides protection against a variety of handgun and rifle threats:
- Level IIIA protects against handgun threats such as .357 Sig 125gr TMJ at 1450 ft/s and .44 Magnum 240gr SJHP at 1450 ft/s
- Special Level IIIA threats include 9mm +P+ 127-grain SXT, .357 SIG 115-grain JHP, .40 cal. 95-grain Aguila, 5.7x28 Hornady V-Max, and 7.62x25 Tokarev FMJ projectiles
- Standard Level III and LW III+ shields offer multi-hit rifle protection against 7.62x51 Nato Ball (M80), 7.62x39 123gr AK47 MSC, 5.56x45 55gr M193, and 5.56x45 62gr Federal Bonded (LE223T3)
